Christmas lights

As the story goes, the guy that owns this house lives north of Cincinnati, Ohio ... Police were constantly being called for traffic jams and accidents in the neighborhood so they asked him to shut it down during certain hours. Instead he started charging by car load to pay off duty police to be there. The guy is supposedly a real computer GEEK, and in my opinion, also a great decorator!

Here is Taps played in its entirety

The conductor of the orchestra is Andre Rieu from Holland. The young lady, her trumpet and her rendition of TAPS makes your hair stand on end. Many of you may never have heard taps played in its entirety, for all of the men & women who have died for you to have the freedom you have in America. This is an opportunity you won't want to miss and I guarantee you'll never forget.

Melissa Venema, age 13, is the trumpet soloist.

Here is Taps played in its entirety. The Original version of Taps was called Last Post, and was written by Daniel Butterfield in 1801. It was rather lengthy and formal, as you will hear in this clip, so in 1862 it was shortened to 24 notes and re-named Taps. Melissa Venema is playing it on a trumpet, whereby the original was played on a bugle.

Canadian Postal truck

Canadian postal workers decided to have a little fun.  They rigged a van so that the people on the driver's side could only see the driver....who is a dog.  The real driver, who is on the passenger side, cannot be seen.  Partway down the street in a residential area the van stops and a man (obviously in on the deal) approaches the driver (the dog) and starts giving him directions, as though the dog is lost.  This is cleverly done.
